Vietnam, Korea co-producing TV series on Vietnamese students in Seoul

(Tinmoitruong.vn) - Vietnam and the Republic of Korea have started a project to produce a TV series on the dreams and choices of young Vietnamese students in Korea, the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism said Monday on its website.

The production team of “Forever Young,” a TV series which is scheduled to broadcast in Vietnam, the Republic of Korea, a number of Southeast Asian nations, and the U.S. via CJ’s M Channel next year

 
The drama entitled “Tuoi Thanh Xuan” (Forever Young), co-produced by the Vietnam Television (VTV) Film Center and CJ E&M Pictures from the Republic of Korea, began shooting on August 10 and is expected to be on the air next year. 
 
The 36-episode series tells a story about the lives, dreams and choices of young Vietnamese students who study in Seoul, struggling with conflicting emotions of friendship and love. They are all enthusiastic about discovering a life which gives them precious once-in-a-lifetime experiences.
 
The series also highlights the important role of one’s homeland, which should be the final destination people should come back to despite how successful they are, as it gives them happiness and peace of mind.
 
Two Vietnamese directors, Khai Anh and Tien Huy, along with a Korean filmmaker, will produce the series that reflects the beauty and cultural aspects of both countries as well as helps promote the image of Vietnam to the world.
 
Besides four Korean artists including Kang Tae Oh, Shin Hae Sun, Shin Jae Ha and Roh Haeng Ha, “Forever young” welcomes the participation of such Vietnamese actors and actresses as Hong Dang, Viet Anh, Nha Phuong and Kim Tien, who were selected from thousands of cast members during two months of auditioning.
 
VTV and CJ E&M have expressed their wish to create the work with the highest quality, making a solid first step for further cooperation in the future. They aim at audiences in the two countries and viewers in other parts of the world.
 
“Forever Young,” which will be filmed in both Korea and Vietnam for six months, is scheduled to be broadcasted in the two countries, a number of Southeast Asian nations, and the U.S. via CJ’s M Channel.
