Quang Ninh investing USD 1 billion-Ecotourism site

(Tinmoitruong.vn) - Happy Cement Corporation (Taiwan) is considering to invest a project Ecotourism combined with modern urban area with total cost about USD 1 billion in Quang Ninh province in Vietnam. According to the project’s design, the project includes Hoang Tan island in Quang Yen town with its area of 516.69ha, involving two main projects: 36-hole golf course with about 200ha and Lucky New City with the remaining area with beach resorts, international standard hotel and luxury urban area (coastal and mountainous areas).

The beach tourism centre will be planned with display area of flora and fauna species of Ha Long Bay, underwater park, cultural and geographical exhibition building, Viet cultural park, Water Park, cinema, sea food streets, shopping malls… The ecotourism complex will include 6-star international standard hotel, villas, Helicopter Park, cruise club and luxury area…

According to the Happy Cement Corporation, the project’s investment license shall be approved in October 2014. The construction phase will start from 2015. It is expected to finish the goal course in June 2017; the tourism centre in June 2018; 6-star hotel in June 2020; the urban area and whole project in June 2021.

Hundreds of households and hoteliers in Hoi An have suffered continuous attacks by high tides on the Cua Dai embankment this rainy season. For over the last month, a 300-meter section of beach has been ravaged by waves that uprooted coconut trees and electricity poles.
