Foreign tourists and Hoi An’s farmers compete in vegetable growing contest Tin ảnh

( - Foreign visitors in farmer clothes participated in a vegetable growing competition in Tra Que village in Hoi An town, Quang Nam province in the Cau Bong traditional festival.

On the morning of February 6, the Cau Bong festival took place at the Tra Que vegetable village to wish for a prosperous new year. After the ceremony, foreign tourists competed with local farmers in a vegetable growing contest.


They were guided how to choose good seedlings.


Not familiar with farm work, this foreign tourist used his hand to measure the distance before transplanting vegetable.


They had to lunge their fingers into the ground to form holes ...


… and carefully put the seedlings into the holes and fill them.


Many visitors curiously watched the competition and they were very excited.



The game ended with the watering stage.



The foreign visitors were very happy when their team finished the task first.



Foreign tourists to Hoi An enjoy wearing clothes of farmers and learn how to plant vegetable in this famous vegetable village.


Tra Que Vegetable Village welcomed its first foreign visitors in the New Year.

Hundreds of households and hoteliers in Hoi An have suffered continuous attacks by high tides on the Cua Dai embankment this rainy season. For over the last month, a 300-meter section of beach has been ravaged by waves that uprooted coconut trees and electricity poles.
