Airbus and Indonesia partner on aviation environmental programme

Holcim treats 7,000 liters of toxic oil stored near Ha Long
(11:25:21 AM 16/10/2014)Holcim Vietnam, a Swiss cement manufacturer, will treat 7,000 liters of oil containing PCBs taken from the Cai Lan Port in Ha Long City to the company’s plant in Kien Giang province. The 34 barrels were taken to the southern province on two trucks on October 7. Two import containers of transformers and machine parts that had been affected by PCBs remained at Cai Lan Port.

Fisherman catches giant endangered catfish, sells to restaurant

It’s just 10 centimetres long but it already has well-developed eyes and a set of sharp teeth, which it turns against its smaller siblings. By the time the pregnant female gives birth, it only has two babies left—one from each of its two wombs. These survivors have already eaten all the others. They’re the bloody victors of a pre-birth battle.

What’s Ebola? Mumbai takes crash course as virus spreads

I heard about it one month back,” said Pramod Nagarkar, superintendent at the city’s Hinduhridyasamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Trauma Care Centre, which sent two doctors to attend a day-long crash course about the ABCs of the deadly virus. “They give training: what is Ebola, how it happens, what are the treatments, what are the precautions to be taken.”
