Lao Cai built a solid waste treatment plant under French technology

(Tinmoitruong.vn) - Lao Cai is building a solid waste treatment plant under French technology with a total investment of nearly VND 100 billion. The plant is to treat the entire domestic solid waste in Lao Cai, Sapa and Bat Xat.

Mr. Pham Van Tan, director of a Lao Cai Urban Environment One Member Co. Ltd said that the plant will be planned to expand capacity and improve technical capacity in the next stages. It will process 85% of domestic solid waste and the rate of landfill wil not exceed 15%.


This work will bring a special effect on the environment and economic benefits to the province. Especially, after the plant puts into operation, organic waste will be recycled to be compost for agriculture and at the same time, classified and re-use some
