Development of sustainable industrial zone model

Accordingly, there are at least 45 potential enterprises in three industrial zones in Ninh Binh, Da Nang and Can Tho to participate in implementing pilots applying clean technologies and resources efficiency utilization to convert industrial zones into eco-industrial zones.
According to Mr. Patrick J.Gilabert – Head representative of UNIDO office in Vietnam, the project aims to strengthen transferring, deployment and dissemination of clean technologies which emit less carbon to minimize CO2 emissions, persistent organic pollutants (POPs) and water pollutants as well as to improve water use efficiency and chemical management in industrial zones.
The project is expected to reduce CO2 emissions about 182,000 ton/year, waste water about 6 million m3/year; waste water after treatment will meet international environment standard.
The total project’s investment is USD 53.23 million, including ODA grant of about USD 4.55 million from Global Environment Facility (GEF), Swiss Federal Economic Affairs (SECO) and UNIDO; USD 108,000 is contributed from the counterpart fund of the Ministry of Planning and Investment...

Proposal to hike forest environment service fees
