Striving international aid to reach 5% of the total investment capital in natural resources and environment sector

A meeting on international cooperation of the natural resources and environment in the period 2016-2020
From 2011 to present, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment has significant advance in attracting foreign capital. According to Deputy Director of International Cooperation (Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment) Pham Phu Binh, from 2011 to September 2014, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment has received and implemented 63 ODA projects supporting with a total funding of US$ 226.67 million.
In the next stage, the Ministry is to develop the multi-purpose, multi-disciplinary, multi-sector programs and projects so as to attract funding from development partners and international organizations. The main approach will help the management and resolution of all the problems of the industry more harmonious support needs in the areas under its management and donor priorities.
The unit will also promote cooperation mechanisms and cooperative partners, sharing experiences. Non-refundable aid has been decreasing and replaced by new financing mechanisms such as preferential ODA, public-private partnerships, foreign investment.

Vestas and THC collaborate on developing wind farms in Huong Linh, Quang Tri province
