Japanese experts share experiences on urban waste water treatment with Vietnam

(Tinmoitruong.vn) - On Nov 3, Danang People's Committee in collaboration with Japan International Cooperation Agency organized the workshop on "The situation of urban wastewater treatment in Danang and applying Japanese experience".

Addressing at the workshop, Mr. Kazutoshi Akasaka from Nihon Suido consulting company said that, the sewage system which is being applied to 164 Japanese cities has the better advantage of cost savings and ensuring environmental regulations.

According to the Danang’s criteria, by the year 2020 the city will gradually build separate sewerage systems. Nguyen Ngoc Tuan, Deputy Chairman of Da Nang’s People Committee city, said that at present Da Nang city tends to build environmentally friendly city. Therefore, it needs to take steps in the right directions which are suitable to protect the environment and ensure the requirements of the environmental quality of land, water and air. With the practical experience from localities in Japan, Danang hoped to open up new and effective directions and solutions for better management and treatment the city's waste water.
