Draft of the National Action Plan on Environmental Protection towards 2020

(Tinmoitruong.vn) - The objective of the Plan to specify the contents, methods and solutions have been identified in the National Strategy on Environmental Protection (EP) 2020 and a vision to 2030; and it will be a basis for the ministries, branches, localities and agencies in implementing environmental protection activities. Specific objectives in 2015 of the Plan consists of four groups as control increasing pollution, curb increasing degradation of biodiversity, improve environmental quality, enhance the capacity to cope with climate change.

 

Under the guidance of the Prime Minister, the Vietnam Environment Administration (VEA)/ the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment is implementing the National Action Plan on Environmental Protection towards 2020 (hereinafter referred to as “the Plan”).
 
 
 
 
Dr. Hoang Van Thuc, the General Chief of the Office of VEA said the first draft of National Action Plan on Environmental Protection towards 2020 is selectively built, synthesize based on the priority proposals, tasks, projects of 6 ministries, 55 People's Committees of provinces and cities directly under the Central Government and based on the opinion of experts, delegates participated in workshops to solicit contributions to the Plan were held.
 
 
Accordingly, the draft of the Plan focuses on 15 main contents such as capacity building, environmental pollution prevention; enhancing control and prevention of pollution occurrence; enhancing investment for environmental infrastructure; reducing the impact of environmental pollution from the production; renovating and restoring contaminated areas, etc.
