France held a series of activities on climate change in Vietnam

(Tinmoitruong.vn) - From Nov 10 to Nov 20, 2014, at French Cultural Centre L' Espace in Hanoi the French Embassy, the French Cultural Center and many local partners and international organizations organize a lot of events such as workshops, film, discussions related to climate change.

Jean-Noel Poirier, the French Ambassador said that these activities aims to respond to the Conference of the Parties (COP 21) to the 1992 United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change to be held in Paris (France) from Nov 30 to Dec 11, 2015. This is one of the largest International Conference on climate change.


According to Mr. Jean-Noel Poirier, challenges of climate change is extremely important to Vietnam because Vietnam is one of the five countries predicted to be among the most affected by climate change. Sea level rise will bring about salinity. By 2050, nearly 1 million residential areas in the Mekong River Delta will have faced risks of housing changes, flood or drought.

Airbus and Indonesia partner on aviation environmental programme

(Tinmoitruong.vn) - Airbus and the Indonesian Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) have launched a long-term partnership to reduce the impact of aviation on the environment. The agreement was signed during the ICAO World Aviation Forum on Aviation Partnerships for Sustainable Development in Montreal Canada. This programme will cover a tailored offering of services and expertise.
