DaCliMB, funded by AFD with total capital of 136,000 Euros, was carried out from October 2013 to September 2014 with the objectives of technical assistance to build the mitigation program of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in Da Nang.

At the workshop, experts said that according to the normal development scenario, in 2025, electricity consumption in households in Da Nang would continue to grow exponentially. GHG emissions in 2025 would increase by 3 times compared to 2010.

To achieve the goal of reducing GHG emissions by 8-10% in 2020 compared to 2010, the project would prioritize to invest in the areas of mitigation of GHG emissions, focusing on issuing institutional policies, action plans of green growth; capacity building, awareness-raising for related parties; construction of pilot programs... to help Da Nang achieve the goal of becoming the environmental city in 2020.
